Replace My Brake Pads
We can do just that. And a lot more, but for now, let’s focus brake pads. Brake pads work with brake rotors to slow down the spinning wheels of your vehicle. We’re talking friction, and a lot of it. Over time, these components will need to be replaced. Conveniently located in Atlanta, we offer Ford brake service for all models.
When To Replace Brake Pads
A good rule of thumb is every 50,000 miles or so. But this depends on a number of variables. Give yourself roughly a 10,000 mile buffer on both sides to be sure. Another way of knowing if if you notice any of these signs.
- Squealing and grinding while braking. This is a dead giveaway
- Brake pads less than a quarter inch thick
- Vibrating brake pedal
- Vehicle pulls to one side while braking
- Brake pedal pushes down with little resistance.
- Brake pedal requires more force to stop car
- Dashboard indicator light is on
